Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter is excited to offer 4 days of fun, outdoor camp during the Park City February Break.  Campers will adventure on snowshoes, learn about animals in the winter, try their hand at snow science, and more.

Ski Break Camp is open to youth currently enrolled in 1st through 5th grades.  Kindergarteners may not attend—no exceptions.  Camp begins each morning at 9 am and ends at 4 pm (drop off is allowed at 8:45 am.  No late pick up available).  Two snacks will be provided (one in the morning and one in the afternoon), but campers should bring their own sack lunch (that does not require heating) and a reusable water bottle each day.  More information, including daily agendas, packing list, and liability waiver will be sent out about a week before camp begins.

Arctic Adaptations: Bundle up and prepare to take a walk on the wild side!  Although the idea of staying out in the cold all winter may seem unbearable to you, some of our local animals are as busy as beavers all season long!  Identify signs of animals on the Preserve, investigate how certain animals have adapted to survive winter, and discover how fauna avoid being ice-olated through the harshest season of the year! 9 am - 4 pm $60

Snowlympics:  No need to train for this camp! Take a STEM-based approach on your favorite winter Olympic sports. Exercise your brain as you engineer a luge course, test your center of gravity with a speed skater challenge, and freestyle your creativity while you design your own medal. Time to take home the gold! 9 am - 4 pm $60

The cost of camp is $60 per day.  This fee helps to cover the cost of supplies for activities, special guest visitors, snacks, facility expenses, our staff’s time planning and facilitating camp, and more.

Tuition waivers are available to individuals with financial need.  Please contact Katherine Veeder, Education Director, at katherine.veeder@usu.edu or (435)797-8942 for more information.

If you cancel more than 2 weeks before the day of camp, you will be refunded minus a $25 fee per day of camp/per camper.  If you cancel 2 or less weeks prior the day of camp, you will receive a refund (less the $25 fee mentioned above) only if your spot is filled from the waitlist.  If your spot cannot be filled, you will not receive a refund.

The online registration system used for Swaner Ski Break camps only accepts payment via credit or debit card.  If you would like to pay with cash or check, please contact Katherine Veeder at (435)797-8942 or katherine.veeder@usu.edu.  Please note that registration may fill up in the meantime, so online registration is highly encouraged.
