Field Trips and Classroom Visits
Explore the Preserve and EcoCenter with hands-on, science-based field trips for school classes and youth organizations.
Swaner field trips allow students to get outside and explore, while enhancing their classroom education with field experiences. Fields trips are offered in the fall, winter, and spring seasons, for preschool through 12th grade. Field trips are also available for private youth groups, such as Scout groups, church groups, 4-H clubs, etc.
No field trips for organized groups are permitted to the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter without prior arrangement with Swaner Education staff. Self-guided field trips are available for groups of less than 15 children, but scheduling must be done in advance. A $2 fee per child will be charged for self-guided field trips.
Thanks to continued support from Park City Mountain and Vail Resorts EpicPromise, Swaner is able to offer a free field trip and classroom visit for every public 4th
